I think allowing students to be self-directed and having more hands-on in their project decision making will make them more motivated and have a greater desire to learn. I think that students who participate in their assessment process will be especially excited about their learning process.

Module 6
This module has helped me think about self-directed learners and the role of differentiation in the following ways....
It has helped me change my way of thinking because I hadn't thought about students assessing their own thinking or assessing themselves. Really they should have more control over the products they create, they way they choose to do it, and finally giving them the ability to judge their own work. This helps them be more responsible and more directly involved in their learning process.

Module 5
This module has helped me think about student-centered assessment in the following ways....
First it has made me aware that the teacher must give up a good deal of the control of assessment to his/her students. I think that it is a very good idea for the students and the teacher to create/discuss assessment together. It must be an assessment that allows the student to demonstrate his/her knowledge of the content and also allow the student to be successful. Their should be allowances so the student can create in his/her learning style.
